There is a very popular drinking game amongst college freshers and party animals called beer pong.

Beer pong is a very simple game that involves twenty two beer pong cups and two or more ping pong balls. The game consists of two teams that set up their ten beer pong cups in a triangular formation at each end of a fold out table. Each cup is then filled with beer and the opposing team has to throw or lob their ping pong ball into one of the opposing teams cups. If they are successful, a member of the opposite team has to drink the contents of the cup.

The two remaining cups are filled with water and are used to clean the ping pong ball when a direct hit has landed in a cup of beer.
